Community theater offers meaningful benefits for individuals and communities alike. A creative outlet where people of all ages and backgrounds can collaborate, theater builds confidence and develops communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
Mount Wachusett Community College in Gardner
Mount Wachusett Community College in Gardner: Willy Wonka, JR. will take the stage at the Mount for school groups at 10:00 a.m. April 7, 8 and April 9 and 10 at 9:30 a.m. 28. A special sensory-friendly performance at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 4and a general public performance matinee on the same day at 2 p.m.
About the musical, the Mount says, “Step into a world of pure imagination with Willy Wonka, Jr., the delightful children’s musical that brings Roald Dahl’s timeless classic to life! Join Charlie Bucket and the quirky, enigmatic Willy Wonka on a magical journey through the most extraordinary chocolate factory ever imagined. With catchy songs, colorful characters, and whimsical sets, this enchanting production is perfect for families and children of all ages. The Stratton Players
The Stratton Players in Fitchburg will present two one-act comedies, with performances Friday, April 17 and 24 at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, April18 and 25 at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Tickets available at the door. General Admission $15. Seniors/Students $10.

The Barre Players Theater
The Barre Players Theater in Barre has the following scheduled productions for their upcoming shows. The Enchanted Bookshop a youth theater production by Todd Wallinger in March. A Midsummer Night’s Dream by William Shakespeare in June. Hadestown, Teen Edition a summer teen production by Anais Mitchell in August.

R.C. Mahar Regional School
R.C. Mahar Regional School in Orange has scheduled the following production in its Theater Department. The first two weekends in May, the Mahar Theater Department will perform The Little Mermaidandtheir fall production will be Mamma Mia
