Tee Up

  • Visit North Central

Generations of local residents have visited Coggshall Park to enjoy summer band concerts, skate across Mirror Lake, stroll the walking paths, and even pose for wedding photos. But today’s visitors to the gem of Fitchburg’s park system are putting a new spin on the Coggshall picture.

The disc golf course at Fitchburg’s Coggshall Park has become an increasingly popular spot — and the city recently opened new parking area, making access easier for players. A blend of Frisbee and golf, the burgeoning sport is great for players of all ages, making it an ideal family activity.

The moderately hilly and moderately wooded Coggshall Park course was established in 2009 and has developed a strong local following. Parking is now available at the park’s South Street entrance, just about 50 yards from the first tee.

Fresh air, a beautiful setting, and a great new game … Tee up an afternoon of fun!
