Fair Season 2015

Yes, it’s here. The end of summer. But the fun is continuing on in Appleseed Country! Fall is a most beautiful season in our area and what better way to celebrate that with the Country Fair? And what better fair than our very own Appleseed Country Fair? This fantastic festival takes place September 5th from 10am-6pm, September 6th from 10am-5pm and September 7th from 10am-4pm at Red Apple Farm, 455 Highland Avenue, Phillipston.

This year, we have so much going on! First up is theFIDDLEFEST! Can you play the fiddle? Come out on Sunday September 6th at 12pm for a chance to win cash prizes. To register, contact Fern Parket at parkerfern@gmail.com. Click here for the flyer for more information.

Next up is the LAWN TRACTOR PULL. What is a Country Fair without a Tractor Pull? Click here for details. All proceeds go to Saint Judes Childrens Hospital. If you want to be a part of the tractor pull, please contact Andre Provencal at Andre@MidHillCorp.com.

New to the fair the year is the addition of WWII vehicles and equipment including a tank, a half track, camp gear and a surprise that will leave spectators feeling the HEAT! Also there will be an inflatable BB gun range donated by Cabelas. All of this is being provided by New England Gun Events.

We will also have a professional wood carver in Wood Wizards Carvings who will be carving us a lifesized Johnny Appleseed for the Johnny Appleseed Visitors’ Center on route 2 in Lancaster. Mike will be carving our Johnny throughout the fair while also carving other statues and doing demonstrations for the crowd! Check our his page for some great pictures of his work!

And of course we can’t forget the LARGEST ZUCCHINI CONTEST. Keep that huge zucchini that has been growing all summer and DON’T PICK IT until the fair! Click here for details.
