Fitchburg Celebrates Earth Day

Get ready to celebrate Earth Day like never before!  Join us in Fitchburg on April 21st, from noon to 3pm at Riverfront Park, (with a community clean-up of invasive plants prior from 9am-noon) rain or  shine. The 3rd annual Fitchburg Celebrates Earth Day, an unforgettable event that’s perfect for the whole family!

Let’s come together to make a difference for our planet!  Discover how small changes can have a big impact on reducing pollution and creating a healthier environment for generations to come. From eco-friendly habits to hands-on activities, Fitchburg Celebrates Earth Day is your chance to dive into sustainability in a fun and interactive way!

 Clothing swap and plant swap to refresh your wardrobe and home with sustainable finds. Sponsored by Mass Value Thrift Store of Leominster. Thank you to the Fitchburg Pagan Group for helping with this activity.

 Dive into sustainable art activities that spark creativity while promoting environmental awareness. Hosted by North County Land Trust, NewVue Communities, InTown Fitchburg and the Fitchburg Cultural Council.

 Get moving with our fitness activity, showing that staying active can also be Earth-friendly! Hosted by Crunch Fitness and Energize Fitness.

 Bin there Dump That will also be sponsoring trash removal for the event!

Please join us for a morning of invasive-plant removal at Riverfront Park to celebrate Earth Day! The event will take place on Sunday April 21st from 9-12 at Riverfront Park in downtown Fitchburg. We will be cutting and pulling invasive plants to improve the riverbank ecosystem along the North Nashua River. We will provide some tools and work gloves, but please bring loppers, pruning shears, work gloves, sunscreen, water, and a hat, if possible.

This event is hosted by the Nashua River Watershed Association, with support from the US Department of Agriculture, and in conjunction with the City of Fitchburg’s Earth Day Celebration.
