Here comes Peter Cottontail … and a host of cheerful bunnies, bringing Easter season fun to North Central Massachusetts.
Looking for somewhere to take the kids for a photo op with the Easter Bunny, or a hunt for brightly-colored eggs? There’s no shortage of family-friendly spots to visit around the April 9 holiday.
Here’s a sampling of local egg-y events:
April 1, 11 am. Town wide Easter Egg Hunt at the Winchendon Community Park, 86 Ingleside Rd. Egg hunt, games, prizes and visits with the Easter Bunny. Rain date, April 2.
April 2, 1 – 4 pm. Easter Egg Hunt & Pictures with the Easter Bunny – a free Community Event at Borges Martial Arts, 122 West St., Gardner. Sign up today to save your child’s spot for our Easter Egg Hunt & Pictures with the Easter Bunny! Don’t forget to bring your camera! There are a limited number of spots available per hour, so register today via facebook and secure your time.
April 2. 11:30 am and 2:30 pm. Egg-stravagent Easter Egg Hunt at Carlson Orchards. Reservations required; call Katie at 603-554-7044 to reserve your kid(s) spot today!!!
April 2, 11am – 3 pm. Annual Egg Hunt! At “Oh My Gosh!” Antiques & Collectibles, 15 Waushacum Ave, Sterling. Egg Hunt, Easter Bunny, goodie bags, drinks and a few nibbles. Golden egg! A found Golden egg wins a basket!
April 7, 10 am. Easter Funday at Tata Auditorium at Leominster City Hall, 25 Wet St. Make a craft, visit the live bunnies and hicks and take a photo with the Easter Bunny.
April 8, 10 am – 4 pm. Easter Egg Hunt at Lanni Orchards, 294 Chase Rd., Lunenburg. Children under 10 years old can hunt for 10 eggs filled with candy and coupons. Crafts, cookie decorating, & cotton candy, popcorn with be available for purchase. Weather permitting the jumping pillow will be open and will be included in the $5/child event fee. The Easter Bunny will be available for pictures from 10 am to 3 pm for no additional charge. April 8, 10 am. Easter Egg Hunt & Bunny Meet & Greet at Academy Hill, Westminster. Easter egg hunt and meet and greet with the Easter Bunny! We’ll have goodies for sale by Deer Creek Farm Bagels and Breads, live music by Joe Reidy, face painting, and more. This is a free community event for children under 12 years old sponsored by the Westminster Parks and Rec department. Bring your own camera for pictures, and a basket for eggs! April 8, 8 am-1pm. Easter’s Great Gathering 2023 at Red Apple Farm, 455 Highland Ave., Phillipston. Breakfast @ the Brew Barn with the Easter Bunny! , free Children’s Egg Hunts at 9, 1 & 11 am; Teen Egg Hunt with prizes at 11:30 am; separate toddler & preschooler hunts. Sponsored by the Phillipston Lions Club & Congregational Church of Phillipston. Adult Egg Raffle at 12:00PM with plenty of great prizes to win- $5 per egg or $20 for 5 (one raffle ticket in each egg). -Pictures with the Easter Bunny, raffle baskets, a 50/50 raffle, baby animals, bunny ears, egg hunt baskets, fudge, fresh cider donuts, craft vendors and more!
April 8, 9:45 am. Annual Easter Egg Hunt on Templeton Common, Routes 2A and 101, sponsored by the Templeton Lions Club. Wear your decorated caps and bonnets for a chance to win a prize!! The judging of caps and bonnets will take place from 9:45-10:00.Bring a basket or container to hold all of the Easter Eggs you’ll find!! Easter Egg Hunt begins promptly at 10 am! (in case of inclement weather this will be held in the Narragansett Middle School Cafeteria on Baldwinville Road)
April 8, 10-11:30 AM. Easter Egg Hunt at Parkhill Park/Splash Park, 235 Pratt Rd., Fitchburg. Bring the kiddies for Easter fun! Visit Fitchburg-ma. gov.
